Contour Injections
Contouring injection (lipolytic injection)
An injection treatment for localized fat and puffiness, such as a double chin or cheeks, to slim and refine the face's contours.
Who it's for
- Double chin, fat under the jaw
- Dull contours due to localized fat in the cheeks or deep cheek area
- Results: contour refinement and reduced puffiness — we explain that this is not a weight-loss treatment
Before treatment
- Check for pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Check for any history of drug allergies
- Check the treatment area for infection or inflammation
- Explain in advance that multiple sessions are needed (setting realistic expectations)
After treatment
- Swelling may get a bit worse for 3–4 days before it settles and results show. Avoid exercise, massage, alcohol and smoking
- Avoid saunas, alcohol and strenuous exercise on the day of treatment
- Let patients know bruising and swelling improve within a few days
Good to know
- Bruising, swelling, pain, redness at the injection site
- Temporary lumpiness or small nodules
- Rarely, dents from excessive fat reduction, or pigmentation
- Temporary burning sensation, depending on the ingredients
Pairs well with
Combined with square-jaw Botox: targets muscle and fat at the same time (general guidance)
"Pinpoints and refines stubborn fat that won't budge" "A typical set is 3–5 sessions, 1–2 weeks apart" "Botox works on muscle, contour injections on fat — treating each by its cause"
Results and recovery time vary depending on your skin. Pricing and the exact number of sessions will be explained during your consultation after diagnosis. Written based on in-clinic materials as of October 2026.
