Radiesse
Radiesse (CaHA collagen biostimulator / hyperdilute Radiesse)
A treatment that dilutes Radiesse, a calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) collagen stimulator, and uses it like a skin booster to improve skin elasticity, fine lines and texture.
What is it?
Radiesse is an injectable made of tiny CaHA microparticles suspended in a gel. Once injected, it stimulates collagen and elastin production around the particles, which makes it a biostimulator (collagen stimulator). When used hyperdiluted and spread thinly and widely through the skin, it works less as a volumizer and more as a skin booster for better skin quality and firmness. Results aren't instant; they build gradually over 2–3 months as new collagen fills in. The CaHA particles break down naturally in the body over time.
Who it's for
- Loss of skin firmness, fine lines, skin texture and pores
- Neck lines and neck firmness, sagging jawline (the classic areas for the diluted technique)
- A good fit for patients who want natural-looking improvement, since it works by regenerating collagen
At Datena
- One syringe (4.5cc) is distributed mainly across your main concern areas: smile lines, front cheeks, side cheeks and marionette lines
- Highly recommended for fine lines and hollowing in the lower face for people in their 50s and up. Deep wrinkles = Radiesse; natural volume = Juvelook Volume
Before treatment
- If you take blood thinners, aspirin or similar medications, bruising is more likely (talk to your prescribing doctor about whether to stop)
- Treatment is postponed if there is an active infection, inflammation or skin condition in the treatment area
- Treatment is generally deferred during pregnancy or breastfeeding
- We check your recent treatment history (fillers, lifting, etc.)
After treatment
- No strong massage or stimulation of the treated area on the day of treatment
- Cold compresses help ease bruising and swelling
Good to know
- Bruising, swelling, redness and tenderness at injection sites: usually improve within a few days
- Rarely, nodules or lumps (if too much is injected into a shallow layer)
- Unlike HA fillers, it can't be dissolved with hyaluronidase, so precise control of depth and amount is essential
- Very rarely, infection or vascular complications
