The Skin Therapy Program (Salgyeol Therapy) is an acne scar treatment program created by Datena Clinic in Jamsil, Seoul (launched in 2023). In a single session, it combines regenerative treatments (subcision, CureJet) that place new-tissue-building medication beneath the scars with a resurfacing treatment (UltraPulse Encore) that lasers away hardened scar tissue so it's replaced with new skin. These three steps are done as a routine every session on scars across the whole face.
Depressed scars have two overlapping problems: fibrous bands pulling the scar down from below, and scar tissue that has already hardened. Cut only the bands and the hardened tissue stays; use only a laser and the bands pull it back down. That's why a single approach, like Fraxel alone or saesal-chim alone, struggles to improve every dip and bump.
We don't use treatments that can't be undone. Any scar treatment carries a chance of making things worse, so we only use treatments that can be corrected in the next session if that happens. That's why we don't use TCA CROSS.
That said, for single scars larger than a coin, extensive burn scars, or thin incision scars, we'll be upfront with you about the limits during your consultation. If your skin can't handle much stimulation, we can use a gentler approach, though the improvement over the same period may be somewhat less.
We treat only the handful of scars we pick out together at your consultation, using subcision and CureJet, with Juvelook Volume as the injectable. It comes as a single session or a 5-session package. Yes. Even if it isn't an acne scar, any "depressed scar" is treated on the same principle. That includes incision lines left after surgery, scars from falls or scrapes, chickenpox marks, and marks left from squeezing pimples.
The method is the same as our Skin Therapy Program (Salgyeol Therapy). We release the adhesions tethering the base of the scar (subcision), fill in the sunken area (Juvelook Volume), and refine the surface texture (CureJet and laser). But since we focus only on that scar rather than the whole face, it follows the "Spot Scar Treatment" format above. Linear scars are measured by length, and dot-shaped scars by number.
There are also some things we should be honest about. Extensive burn scars are hard to improve as much as people hope. Incision scars that have healed into a single thin line have almost no depression, so the change will be small. Raised scars (keloids and hypertrophic scars) are the opposite of depressed scars, so we treat them differently. Please see our keloid and raised scar page. For recent scars, it's better to wait for the redness to settle first before assessing the depression.
We can give you an idea of how much improvement to expect from photos first. Send us one photo taken in bright light where the scar is clearly visible, along with how long you've had it.
There's no complete cure for scars, but there is real improvement. What's achievable differs for every skin, so at your first consultation we'll tell you honestly how much improvement is possible and recommend a program to match. We take photos at every session to track changes together and plan the next treatment accordingly.
All three steps (subcision, CureJet, UltraPulse) are included in every tier. What differs is the agent placed beneath the scar.

We'll decide together at your consultation which tier fits, based on the shape and depth of your scars, how sensitive your skin is, and how many sessions you have in mind.
Sessions must be at least one month apart, and after that it's fine if the gap is longer. That's because scar improvement builds with each session and doesn't reverse. How much you improve varies with age, scar shape and location, how hardened the scars are, and your lifestyle and healing ability. At the final session, we review before-and-after photos together and decide whether to wrap up or continue.
We apply numbing cream for about 30 minutes beforehand. It feels like a slight sting, similar to having acne extracted.

Generally, you can see pore and acne scars filling in with 5 sessions. That said, how much improvement you get can vary depending on your lifestyle and your skin's healing ability.
Yes, you can go about your daily routine with DuoDERM (hydrocolloid patches) on. We recommend wearing DuoDERM for at least 3 days and up to about a week. If you'd prefer an approach with less recovery time, we can also do the treatment in a gentler way.
Absolutely. This is Datena Clinic's signature treatment, so if you see no change, we'll refund you. We stake our name on it.
